The abridged version:
I retired in 1999 after a combined 30+ years in the federal government, first as a park ranger in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon National Parks, with a 9 month assignment in Washington, DC, then as a computer system administrator for the Bureau of Land Management in Idaho. Until April 2011 I worked a variety of part-time jobs, but as of April I became fully retired – at least for now. My husband and I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He’s retired as well, having worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and prior to that an airplane and helicopter pilot. We met at Grand Canyon when we were both assigned there.
